Indianapolis classes...

Yang Style Tai Chi Fundamentals, Part 1 - Wednesdays 10 -11 am

Fall Schedule: October 8, 15, 29, November 5, 12, 19, December 3, 10, 2025. $96 for 8-week session


Location: Dance Creations Academy 9257 Castlegate Drive, Indianapolis,  IN 46256. 


Learn essential movements of Yang Tai Chi, the most widely practiced style of Tai Chi in the world. Each class begins with full body warm-ups that build strength and flexibility. Part 1 (of 3) is a beginning 18 movement form which includes Tai Chi walking and other principles to build coherent flow and focus. Parts 1-3 include 56 movements providing you the skills to join a Yang group anywhere and follow along with  a sense of understanding and ease. Suitable for beginners and those who can stand unaided for 50 minutes. (See the location here.) Registration includes access to training materials and videos in the Student Portal library.

Tai Chi for Arthritis & Fall Prevention, Part 1 - Fridays 10-11 am

Fall Schedule: October 10, 17, 24, November 7, 14, December 5, 12, 2025. $84 for 7-week session


Location: Indy Movement Arts Collective (at the Basile Opera Center) 4011 N. Pennsylvania St., Indianapolis, IN 46205. 


Tai Chi for Arthritis & Fall Prevention is an evidence-based gentle Sun style form that strengthens mind and body for better balance and mobility. Each class begins with stress-reducing warm-ups followed by low-impact Tai Chi form  instruction designed by Dr. Paul Lam. Part 1 (of 2) is a 21 movement form that integrates agile stepping and qigong breathing that will enhance mind-body awareness. Great for beginners, accommodations made for all fitness levels. Self-paced video learning series and additional training materials are available in the  Student Portal library at no additional cost for all registered students.
